FIREKIDS: Second Hand Shoes

My Daughter has an incredible ability to destroy shoes!  We went and spent $80 for her and $80 for Zeke for new shoes for the school year.  We don’t make our kids pay for those two pairs of shoes, we feel like that is like school supplies, and we should provide them.  That’s us.  Anyways, she has owned those shoes for 48 HOURS and has already ruined one set!  Her and her friend thought the sound of the tops of shoes sliding across the pavement was the FUNNIEST sound in the world.  So after a full day of laughter you could clearly see her socks through the top of her destroyed shoes. Oh good grief, Myka!  So, I bought the first pair for you sweet girl.  You are buying the replacements.  Daddy didn’t ruin those shoes, come on now!

She didn’t have enough money to go back to the box store to get new shoes, so she wanted to know if there was a place we can buy shoes cheaper.  Good news for her and all of us, there is!  We went to this high end consignment store to get some nice second hand shoes.  After searching the store – Which is amazing, they literally have everything for kiddos – we found shoes…in her size….that were cute….and THAT WERE ONLY $4!!

So yes, of course we bought them.  And a Pony toy. And a card game….for less than $10.  I may have just converted to the high church of consignment! Wow.  So now that sweet sweet sound of concrete on shoe tops only costs $4 not $40.  Stay weird kid! Thank you consignment, we will meet again!
