FIREKIDS: Week Four

Myka and Zeke got invited to be actors in the Oklahoma 529 commercial, my sister’s boyfriend is in advertising and was helping with the commercial.  Do you know any cute kids that would want to be on TV?  Heck yeah, I do!  They each got $300 for being in the commercial.  Am I going to FIREkids that money? Of Course I am! The process needs to be ingrained in them, so that when they grow up and get into their earning years, they will know what to do with that money.  The kiddos did great, Myka is SUPER particular about her clothes and I was nervous about her wearing the costume that she would be given.  We originally were told that she would be a business woman, and would be wearing a suit.  She was not impressed.   Imagine Disgust from Inside Out, that was Myka!  I explained that the business woman was the BOSS and was in charge.  When she heard that, she loved that idea…but as it turns out, her costume was to be a film maker.  So she got to be in black and white and cute little glasses.  So, instead of being the Boss, she was an artist.  You go girl. Zeke was a bomber pilot, leather bomber jacket and aviator sunglasses.  Yep, Zeke looked as cool as the other side of the pillow!  I’m glad the kids had the opportunity to act, watch out SAG the Bright kids coming!

They heard they were getting the $300 and were distraught about having to wait for the checks to come in the mail!  They wanted those dollars now!
